Foundation in Rome

EMC Council was formally established in Rome at Via del Governo Vecchio 3, with a Special General Assembly adopting the charter, approving the new institutional name, and electing its first leadership under President Erin Maria Gioconda Elizabeth Pivetti.

Charter Reform & Renaming

The organization evolved from its original Italy-focused mission to embrace a full European and Mediterranean dimension, officially renamed to "Eurasian-Mediterranean Cooperation Council" to reflect its broadened scope in cultural, strategic, and institutional diplomacy.

Beijing Office Established

A representative office was inaugurated in Beijing to strengthen China-Europe cultural and strategic ties, serving as a permanent institutional bridge and operational hub for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

2025–2026

Cairo Office Opened

A Mediterranean hub was opened in Cairo to represent the Council across North Africa and the Middle East, coordinating friendly relations and dialogue with local institutions.

International Conference Series

High-level dialogues conducted at Zhongguancun (Beijing), Keqiao, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, UN ESCAP Beijing, Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), and NUECIR Verona (Italy).
